First Trip to Paris

Hi! I’m Kaila, and I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2013. I have some other allergies too, food and non-food ones. While I love to travel and eat out, my array of dietary restrictions can make that quite difficult.  When I was first diagnosed restaurants would offer me Enjoy Life cookies (which surprisingly contain rosemary- one of my uncommon allergens). However, I’m finally starting to get the hang of things.

Cooking is certainly not one of my favorite hobbies, but I’m learning to enjoy it. I love hiking, skiing, and snowboarding. Additionally, I would love to spend at least an hour each day sitting by a fire or outside reading (not that it happens).

Last year I ran Disney’s Coast to Coast Race Challenge to raise funds and awareness for the Celiac Disease Foundation! Amongst my traveling goals, I also road tripped to 48 states and volunteered at Camp Celiac for the first time. This upcoming year, I’m looking forward to expanding my gluten free travels to Europe. Otherwise, I’m a pretty typical 24-year-old. One day, I hope to become an allergy friendly travel pro!

While you’re here, why not checking out my Travel Reviews and Recipes?! There’s a ton from dedicated gluten free restaurants too!
