Hamburger Soup (GF, DF, EF)

Hamburger Soup (GF, DF, EF)I love to enjoy classic dishes in the form of soup! When you take a dish that is typically full of gluten and place it in a soup, you don’t feel as though you’re missing a key component.

Now, my favorite way to do this is with the Supreme Pizza Soup, which is so flavorful that I promise you won’t miss the pizza crust. However, that soup is a little too spicy to eat all the time, so today I’m bringing you a milder soup… Hamburger Soup! (Hold the bun please.)

Even if you don’t have celiac disease, this hamburger soup is the perfect treat to warm yourself up, especially if you’ve been enduring the snow storms in Boston! So without further ado, here is the recipe for y’all to enjoy!

  4. Add the drained meat and the rest of the ingredients to the pot. Stir to combine and then bring to a boil. Reduce the heat. Cover the pot and simmer the soup for 15-20 more minutes, until potatoes are tender. If you let it cook for too long, your potatoes will become mushy!

  5. Soup should be somewhat thick, but you can always add more broth (1-2 cups) or hot water to make it more “soupy.” Taste and adjust seasonings by adding more salt, pepper, or cayenne pepper if needed.

I’m also sharing this with all my friends over at Fiesta Friday. As you may have guessed, I’ll be skiing this weekend, and enjoying some warm soup as well. 🙂

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and Happy Cooking!

P.S: My mom surprised me with this new recipe on my last trip back home. Thanks Mom!
